    Polish tax solutions and facilitations for entrepreneurs from Singapore considering the increase of commercial and investment involvement in Poland based on the FTA were the axis of the presentation of Polish speakers during the workshop "The EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement: What would it mean for your business?".

    Director Jan Kamoji-Czapiński from the Investment Department at PAIH and Mr. Maciej Żukowski, Director of the Department of Taxes in the Ministry of Finance presented the investment climate for innovative solutions in Poland, as well as the system of investment incentives in the area of R&D, IP Box and tax relief and tax exemption system, which will be used by Singaporean producers and service providers, as well as companies planning to develop their operations on the Polish market.


    The event, prepared by the EU Delegation in Singapore in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore Business Federation, Enterprise Singapore and EuroCham, was very popular among Singaporean and European companies seeking information about the real consequences of the agreement for economic cooperation between Europe and Singapore. As part of the presentation of individual EU member states and thematic panels, the participants got acquainted with the facilitations which will appear in bilateral trade in particular industries, including agro-food, financial services, pharmaceutical products and medical devices, and in the field of public procurement. A separate panel was also devoted to the interpretation of regulations on rules of origin. Over 100 representatives of local business took part in the event.
